Semana, La República and the EFE-sourced report carried by Yahoo Noticias each state that 6.24% is the highest annual reading since July 2024. Reuters notes inflation remains well above the central bank's 3% target with a one percentage point tolerance band. On composition, the reported monthly leaders by division were recreation and culture (0.89%), information and communication (0.81%) and food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.71%), with the largest contributions to the monthly index coming from food and from housing and utilities. Reported month-on-month subclass movements included sewerage 7.13%, fresh fruit 4.95%, potatoes 4.32% and electricity 2.33%.
